FLASH BACK FRIDAY!!!!!

Okay I'm biting off Katherine's blog FLASH BACK FRIDAY....I can't believe I'm posting these but here goes:

This is one of me and my DH when I was 16 and he was 19. I dont' even know why the heck I was wearing RAIDERS...I hate the raiders but back then it was cool (well it's still cool I guess since I live in the area - and I liked to wear BLACK a lot).

here is one of me and 2 of my friends....we were trouble back then....look how cool we look with the red lighting showing how BIG our hair was. You're lookin at:
Baby Spikes, Baby J (me), and Precious (don't ask!)

Feeling Rather CRAFTY today!!!!!!!

So I've been itching to do something CRAFTY and I finally got some down time today to do something creative. Hopefully soon I can make some layouts for my 2005 album and get it finished before we're too far into 2006 but for today I made a few frames and a card for gifts. Here they are:

this one I made for my friend and her husband's 1 year anniversary:

and just a very quick, VERY SIMPLE card I made to go along with the anniversary gift:

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!!!!!!

To my baby:

Even after all these years (11 married and 18 together) I am still so in love with you! I know through the years we've gone through life's ups and downs...it has only made our love grow even stronger! I appreciate you for all that you do for us and our family. You are a wonderful husband, father, best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without you in it! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

"You're Still The One"

You're still the one I want to love FOREVER. You're still the one I want to wake up with every morning and snuggle with every night, the one I want to share my dreams with, the one whose hand I want to hold when I'm afraid, whose shoulder I want to lean on when I need support.

You're still the one I want to encourage to make your own dreams come true, the one I want to comfort when you need a source of strength, the one I want to hold close ALWAYS.

You're still the one, the only one, I want to love FOREVER!!

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!

Harlem Globetrotters.....

My family and I went to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday night. We had such a good time! And the highlight of the night was getting a picture of my son with one of the main players (the one who does most of the pranks on the other team and referees)...I think this was better than getting autographs (atleast from a scrapper's point of view it is!).....

Fertility News....

Well, I called the dr's office as they instructed me to when I started my cycle.
We were suppossed to schedule my HSG (dye test) but they told me the dr's are not doing HSG tests this month for whatever reason. Just great, so I waste a month, but oh well. But then the nurse said let's schedule you for an ultrasound next thursday. If you're ovulating out of your right side we'll do artificial insemination this month. I'm so excited!!!!!!! I know I shouldn't get my hopes up too much, but atleast when we're trying something, I feel like I have a better chance that just when we're waiting.....

keep ur fingers crossed that all goes well and we can try IUI this month!

Yummmmm! TANDY KAKES!!!!!!!

This is what I just finished eating. If you love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups OR
Peanut Butter Tasty Kakes (if you're from the east coast) - you will love these.

This is a recipe from my Aunt Rita, it's super easy to make and SO DELICIOUS!!!!!

If you're like me and you've decided that you'll put off your new year's resolution of eating better til next week, run to your grocery store and buy these ingredients:

2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Milk
a pinch of salt
2 tspn baking powder
2 tbsp margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tspn vanilla

(for the topping):
peanut butter
2 large hersheys milk chocolate bars (if you're like me and burn chocolate when melting, you might want to pick up a few extra just in case you screw up the first round).

DIRECTIONS:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

Grease & flour a jelly roll pan (I use my clear glass rectangular baking dish that I use for making either brownies or lasagna - it seems to work good - I'm not sure what a jelly roll pan is so this is what I use).

Mix together the cake ingredients, pour onto pan

Bake for 25 - 30 minutes

Remove from oven

Spread on Peanut Butter while still hot

After the cake cools, melt chocolate (a double boiler works best to avoid burning the chocolate. I didn't have one so I just put some water in a small saucepan, put it on low / med heat and put the chocolate in another small same sized saucepan right on top of the one with the water - just like a double boiler (sorry for the really detailed instructions, I'm one of those people who likes step by step and pictures so I know I'm doing it right!)

Spread melted chocolate on top - let cool to semi hard stage

Score like brownies

After it cools completely, ENJOY!!!!

These are so yummmy!!!!!!!!!

movie reviews so far....

Okay, of the movies I've rented, I watched 3 so far:

CRASH - EXCELLENT MOVIE - go out and rent it immediately!!!!!

Must Love Dogs - I did not really care for this movie. I know a few people said it was good but we watched this on New Year's eve and everyone thought it was just okay. I'd wait and watch it on tv.

Dukes of Hazzard - I fell asleep halfway thru the movie...need I say more??

Still have to watch Dark Water and The Exorcism of Emily Rose - why do I even rent
scary movies????? I never end up wanting to watch them cause I don't want to be scared!!!!!
