A day in the sun..

We have a man made beach in our town. You feel like you're at a lake far away but it only takes a couple minutes to get there!

More Great America

Our friends took the day off from work to take their kids to Great America so we all went together and hung out...here are a few photos from our day:

Trips to Great America.....

We've taken a few trips to Great America so far this summer...love having a season pass and i love love love their new water park's wave pool!!!!!!

There's a funny story behind this picture. My friend's boys are really pretty funny and quite the little rebels. We were at the wave pool laying out while the kids swam. There are innertube rentals off to the right of us and they are $5 a rental. We had 5 kids with us that day. Well my friend's son Justin is out in the water and I see him and all of a sudden he's in an innertube. Next thing, Jacob is running up and throws down a tube and says I'm going back in and getting one for Josh and Christian! Don't let anyone take this!!! And next thing you know he runs off..(I'm thinking oh my gosh, these tubes were someone else's = I later found out the orange ones are free, they put so many into the water and the rest are rentals (which really makes no sense but oh well). My friend goes off to the bathrooms with her daughter and I'm sitting here guarding all our bags and stuff and next thing you know I have count them 5 innertubes laid out in front of me. Now this is a bit ridiculous to have this many innertubes all sitting out of the water being reserved when they only put out probably 20 total in the water...I was so embarassed, I just threw a towel over my head and was like, um I don't know these kids ha ha! We ended up making them give back some of the tubes but not til we took a picture....My son must've been in the water at the time the picture was taken...

Lazy Days at the Pool

Early Father's Day Outing...

My husband had to work on Father's Day for an upcoming r/c boat racing nationals we're putting on in the bay area.....so we went to the Oracle Arena friday night before Father's Day to the "Ball4Real" Streetball World Tour...

DJ Quick made a surprise guest appearance at the event:

Gotta love pee-wee golf!!

my son was excited cause we promised to pay anyone who got a "hole in one" a quarter...here he is with his quarter:

And of course, none of these little outings can happen without at least 1 or 2 little "photo shoots" by the moms who are avid scrapbookers!!!!!

Two weeks into summer....

We're 2 weeks into the summer vacation and I haven't blogged once! I'm so sorry about that! Every day we've been out doing something fun, trying to keep busy. Here are some pictures we've taken so far:

Bowling (LOVE that our local bowling alley provides a summer bowling pass to every child in the school district good for one free game and one free shoe rental for every day of the summer break)...

Here is my son and my friend Mindy's son:

Mindy's adorable daughter Jessie...we call her "jessie bows" cause she always has cute bows in her hair!

A Family Day in the City

It's been a rough few weeks and I told my family we need to take a day away to just hang out and do something fun together so we decided to go the the city (SF). We took a motorized cable car tour of the city it was so much fun!!!!

This was taken in front of the palace of fine arts:

Inside our cable car:

I think THIS one is one of my favorite pics I took that day:

Lombard Street:

And the perfect ending to the day....JOE'S CRAB SHACK!!!!! Love this place - I actually like the So Cal one way better but this is the closest one to where we live so I always want to go there when we go to the city!!!

6th Grade Promotion Dance party

My son's FIRST ever dance....he went to this on Friday at the local Teen Center. They had a dance party for all the 6th graders in our town:

Here are some of the boys before we left to drive to the dance...strikin' a pose....

I think my son was more excited about the cool snacks they had at the dance (cotton candy) and playing ping pong and pool than the dance part...though he did say he danced with a few girls from his school but that there were a lot of girls there he didn't know from other schools and he didn't bother talking to them!

6th Grade Picnic

We've had a busy past few days....my son's 6th grade year is winding down (actually he graduates TOMORROW!!!!). We had a 6th grade picnic on Friday:

Here's me and my little guy: (not so little any more - waaah!!!)
