New FAVORITE scrapbooking tool...

Okay so most of my layouts have somewhere on the page, a little dymo label. I love my dymo labeler with all my heart. I found a new labeler just like the dymo but PINK and TINY!!!! and........... it has a lowercase and uppercase wheel!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!! Plus they sell cute colors like pink, baby blue, lime green, purple.....

Just got it in the mail last week and have been using it ever since. It's super easy to use, and easy to change the wheels...oh and I hope they come out with different fonts like a cursive font for these, that would be just FABULOUS!!!!!!!

Here it is ladies - the Around The Block Label Writer Kit - run out and get yours!!!!

What to do when you're home sick.....

My whole family has been down with a cold for the past week. It's really not a fun thing to be sick. I would LOVE to just lie in bed all day and it would probably be good for me to do so, but I have a sick child home from school for the past 2 days. My hubby is at work sick, so I figured I should at least get up and get some things done. Worked on some paperwork for our business, and then worked on some of the layouts I'm suppossed to turn in, in a few days to my friend for her store.

One of my assignments was to do a baby boy page. Well my baby boy is 12 years old now. I have to admit when I first got the assignment it kinda made me sad and I wasn't really looking forward to working on anything baby. If you've been a reader of my blog for a while you'd know the problems I have had over the past few years of trying to get pregnant, getting pregnant, miscarrying, doing fertility treatments, etc.

I decided to do a page on my son when he was a baby and that quickly made me feel much better. I worked on a layout from when he was only 6 months old. It's one of my favorite pictures I have of him from when he was a baby.

It was fun working on this and has motivated me to break out my son's box of baby pictures and keep working on his baby book which I am WAY BEHIND ON!!!!!!

1st Crop at Suzy's!!!!! - and I was there!!!!! woo hoo!

Okay so I have been given a really hard time by Suzy and others that this was my 1st time at an official Bay Area Scrappers crop. I have been to them, just wasn't actually cropping, I was shopping!!!!! This time I actually got some work done.

I had a blast the entire day, started it off by meeting up with Laurie at the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, hung out with her and Erin. had a yummy lunch at the fairgrounds - they ALWAYS have killer food. Went home, and started packing up stuff to take to the crop.

Got to hang out with Lizz, Laurie, Michelle and Erin at suzy's crop. And we got a visit by Michelle Hill from Lil Davis Designs which was a nice surprise. I love their products!!!!!!

Here are some layouts I did at the crop:

This one I just finished today - journaled, and added the bling - rhinestones around the title - kinda reminds me of when you go to get your ears pierced you get to choose from the little display of earrings!

What a weekend!!!!!

It's been a very busy weekend for me. Friday night took 20 people to the Golden State Warriors Game for my son's 12th birthday party....we had a blast, here are a few pics from our night.

Here is my son and the Warriors Mascot "Thunder" who came up to hang out with us for a little while during the game:

My son's birthday announcement on the jumbotron (last name edited out for safety reasons!)

Party lasted til 1am!!!!! The game ended late and we didn't get home til almost 11:15pm, then did cake and presents and the kids ended up playing video games on the wii and played basketball out front while the parents all chatted. It was a fun party but I was totally exhausted by the time everyone was picked up / dropped off.

Then we had to get up early the next morning for Opening Day Ceremonies at the baseball field. Had to be there at 8:30am!!!

Here's my son and his best friend Eric (they had to play against each other's teams yesterday - it was a close game):

After the game, I went to a Crab Feed at my friend's church. I don't have any pics to post yet because I was a dork and left my camera at home so I'm relying on my girlfriends to send me the pics they took. We actually got some good ones, the theme at the Crab Feed was Viva Las Vegas and we took pics while an Elvis impersonator was singing to us it was pretty funny!

Today I slept in a little (longer than I thought cause I forgot we moved the clocks forward!) - got up and started working on the kit I had to make for my friend's scrapbook store which is opening tomorrow!!!! If you're ever in the bay area, come check it out, it's THE BEST STORE around!!!! It's called Picture Me Perfect and is owned by Suzy West. Her website is: www.bayareascrappers.com

Anyways...I finished the kit which will be sold in Suzy's store, here are some pics:
(btw - the cute girl in the book is my niece Katie)

I finished this kit late this afternoon (nothing like the last minute...but hey I work well under pressure!) - dropped it off at Suzy's, ate Olive Garden for dinner with my mom and my son, then went back to Suzy's to help them get ready for their opening tomorrow....can't wait to see the store when it's all finished and I can shop woo hoo!!!!

Okay well I'm off to bed now.....

How Lucky Am I??

Look what arrived in my mail today from my best friend Valerie:

Ever since she moved away last October, we've been sending each other care packages in the mail. It's so exciting to open your front door and have a box full of goodies there waiting for you to open! What a nice surprise!!! =0)
This was just the stuff she sent for me, there was other things in the box for my son's bday and a little something for DH from her DH and she even made a super cute dog collar for Miso!!!!
