Jan 31st - CRAB FEED!!!!!

If you know me, you know I love me some crab!!!! I went to my first crab feed several years ago and have been hooked ever since! I go to two crab feeds a year, one in Hercules and one in our town at my friend's church. The one in hercules is the one we like to call "Filipino Dancin' With the Stars". There are singing performances with guitars, a dj, and when the music starts, all the people come out and dance..it's quite entertaining! And we like this crab feed because they have rice, butter, cocktail sauce, everything there! Usually we have to bring our own rice and butter. I still bring my tools, and butter warmer but everything else we need is right there! Here is my pic of the day...it's my hubby and his friend crackin' crab legs....

Jan 30 - project 365

Today my company had it's Annual Budget & Goals Meeting. We've been preparing for this day for a while now. I kind of dread it a bit because I really dislike public speaking. Last year was really nerve wracking because I had only been working there for a short while and did not want to stand up in front of the company and present my goals. This year, was much easier. KNowing everyone made me feel so much more comfortable. I'm going to use a picture of me presenting for today's project 365 picture. Still waiting on my boss' wife to send me the picture she took of me. Will add it later to this post.

Now that I have the presentation behind me, it's time to relax....and start preparing for our Super Bowl Party this Sunday. Tomorrow I'll be doing some chores around the house, and grocery shopping, then we have a crab feed in the evening to go to and then Sunday the party begins!

Tonight, we just got Applebee's Curbside to go (love the convenience!) and I got one digi scrapbook layout done. Nothing spectacular but at least I've documented my new years eve party.....

I live for the weekends...I work so hard during the week and just like to have time to relax. I wish I could sleep in on my days off, but for some reason I only seem to want to sleep in when I know I have to be up for work...must be psychological. Or it could be that this little cutie makes me want to crawl back into bed and cuddle with her!

My nephew's first steelers superbowl

This superbowl will be my little nephew Ronnie's first Steelers Superbowl. My brother was dissapointed because he couldn't find any steelers clothing in Ronnie's size....so I found a sweatsuit and mailed it to him....here is the package I sent...can you tell we like the Steelers?????

We got a lot accomplished today. I entered a TON of paperwork for our business on our new quickbooks online! LOVE IT!!!! I showed my hubby how to use it. We did a lot of housework to get ready for the superbowl party next weekend.


And my husband even started working on helping organize my scrapbook room while I was doing data entry for our business!!! How cool is that? I was shocked! I didn't even have to ask him. =0)

We ended the night watching a movie together on our new comfy couch!!!!

Before I went to bed I worked out on the wii fit for 30 mins. I got my wii age down and have lost 1.1 pounds since wednesday! Go me!!!!

My life is about to get so much EASIER!!!!!!

I finally converted us to quickbooks online for our company's accounting. I am so excited about this. I work a lot of hours at my regular job doing data entry (accounting and payroll) all day long. I also handle the accounting for my family's two companies. It is so frustrating and exhausting to come home from being on the computer all day only to have to do it all over again at home or even worse, save it all for the weekend when I have other things I would like to do. For the past 5 years it's felt like all I do is enter things on the computer. Well, now I can get help. During the day, my husband can log in through the internet and enter in the invoices, payments, & bills from any computer that has internet. It's all saved online on quickbooks' servers so I no longer have to pay for their online backup service. The 24/7 call support is also included so I no longer have to pay for that service either. We are saving so much money and things are going to be a lot less stressful for us so I am so happy about this!!!!!

I purchased a wii fit board & game today at Tarjay.....it is soooo much fun and I'm hoping that since you have fun while exercising it will be just what I need to get in some much needed shape and lose weight!!!! Here's to a healthier me!

Today was a very lazy Sunday.... We just hung out at home, did some houswework and then relaxed in our new couch and watched the Steelers game. I am SOOOO excited because the STEELERS are going to the superbowl against the Cardinals!!!!!!

Not a very exciting Saturday morning, but it's nice to have nothing planned and to just relax and get things done around the house every once in a while.

See that window behind me? It looks directly into the President's office. It opens too, how lovely right? He likes to check in quite often throughout the day, to give me new tasks, ask how to spell things, etc. My first week or so, I actually tried to order a shake and fries from him, no dice. LOL!

Not a very exciting day. Work was...well WORK! The day went by fairly quick which is always nice. And knowing I had another dinner ready in the crockpot was definitely a plus! We're having BBQ shredded pork sandwiches with mac & cheese and chips. Christian even helped make the mac&cheese (it's his first time cooking it on the stovetop).



The excitement of the night will be the 2 hour Season Premier of American Idol Season 8!!! I can't wait!!!!! It's one of my favorite shows! I'm excited to see how the new judge will fit in with Randy, Simon & Paula. Who else is watching?

Jan 12 - Project 365

Not a good day......Mondays suck to begin with but this one was extra sucky.....can you say PAY CUTS!?!?!?!!




I know it's hitting almost everybody, it's just hard when it actually happens. I am very grateful I still have a job. Things could be much worse.....I'm hoping for the best....and tomorrow is a new day right?

On a happier note, my dinner turned out fabulous and was super easy!!!! All you need to make "the easiest burritos ever" is a crock pot, a tri-tip, and green salsa (a whole jar). Put the tri-tip in the crock pot and pour the salsa over the top (I use Arriba Green Salsa - MEDIUM). Cook on low for 8 hours. It will shred up nicely and you can put the meat inside flour tortillas and add your favorite burrito toppings! It is so yummy and the easiest dinner ever!!! After the day I had, it was so nice to just come home and dinner was already ready. I think I will definitely be using the crock pot a lot this week......

Jan 11 - Project 365

Nothing much exciting happened today. Just ran some errands, grocery shopping, took my son to the skate park and ended the night with a dinner at Red Lobster with my mom. Food was great, but the service was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! Our waitress sucked big time! She actually spent 20 minutes cracking some kids crab legs for her (um....where were the parents while all this was going on? Why didn't they crack their own kids crab legs, the place was packed and lots of people waited a long time to get served). Oh well, I'm over it. I now remember why I said last time I went there, that I wouldn't be back.

Jan 10 - project 365

Today was a very LONG day....We started out to Sunol to pick up my mom's dog Phoebe from the dog kennel, then went to Pleasanton to drop her off. Then to the Dublin Skate Park, then to San Ramon to my friend Annalyn's house to hang out. Then we drove to Fremont, Then San Francisco to pick up my mom from the airport, then to Plesasanton to drop her off and got back home at 10:15pm...It was a very long day....

My friend Annalyn's son Nico has an amazing voice!!! I thought the singing was coming from the game but when I walked upstairs I found out it was him singing!!!!

Here is Christian eating some Shrimp that Anna made....I still can't eat them if they have the little eyes and antenaes on....creaps me out....He must get that from his dad (the flip side). He's definitely more adventerous when it comes to eating than I am:

This picture was taken on my drive to work. The sun was shining brightly and the base of the hills had a bunch of white foggy clouds, everything else was totally clear...It looked pretty cool (this picture definitely doesn't do it justice but it's the best I could do with my iphone camera)

Not too much exciting news today.....Just a relaxing evening at our house.
And two teenagers on their myspace page....shocking, I know....(this is my son with his hair flat ironed...- I was bored) and Gabby (my adopted daughter...she might as well be she's over here all the time!)

January 7 - Project 365

I am not doing a very good job at taking pictures.....I need to set a reminder on my iphone so I can remember better. I forgot to take a picture of my mother in law leaving for the Philippines. =0( Maybe I will just journal about it.

Jan 6th - Project 365

I only took a picture of my husband today and with my iphone (kinda boring, I know) I actually kind of forgot about project 365 because I had a crappy day at work, not because of the work but it started off bad, my friend lost her baby at 5 months pregnant. When I got home from work for some reason i started feeling nauseaus so after dinner I went to bed early and just read my book in bed...

I have a new favorite author and I'm on her 3rd book and hope she cranks out more cause I go through her books in like a week or less!!!!

The author is Jen Lancaster and she is HIL-AR-I-OUS!!!!!! I find myself seriously "laughing out loud" (LOL!) while reading her books!!!

Jan 5th Project 365 - English Homework......

Christian has a school project for English where he has to show step by step pictures of how to do something and write abou each of the steps. The pictures he had a friend take while he did a trick on his skateboard (called a HARDFLIP) were so blurry you couldn't even tell what was going on in the picture. So we went to the garage to do a little photo shoot. Excuse the messy garage...that's the husbands responsibility! LOL!









We took these pictures and put them all together and here is where we are with the project so far:

Brrrr! It's cold in Cali!

I woke up early for two reasons this morning. One because it's my BFF Valerie's bday today and I wanted to send her a bunch of bday wishes and two because it was FRIGGEN COLD here!! This is what my car looked like this morning....that's ICE PEOPLE!!!!! I hate cold weather! I'm off to go turn on my electric fireplace that my mom bought us for Christmas. It's my new favorite thing next to my new iphone!!!!

Project 365

Project 365- take a photo a day for a whole year. My friend Valerie told me about this cool scrapbook kit for storing and recording all these photos here. It was also featured in an article in the January issue of Creating Keepsakes.

I started this project on January 1st even though I don't have the kit, I'm taking a picture each day to document 2009 for our family. Valerie and I have made a pact that we will complete this project! I'm excited to get the kit and get started.
Not sure if they've gotten more in stock, apparantely it was a NIGHTMARE for a lot of people trying to get their hands on one of these kits....they weren't smart like me to have a friend in the midwest who's up earlier to order it for them!!! LOL!

The old one is super cute and my BFF Valerie made it for me, but it doesn't go with my background layout so I needed to make a new one to coordinate. What do ya think of the new look?
I know I need to stretch the banner a little wider but I'm not sure what size I need so I will fix this later....
