My day on Friday...
So I'm kinda working backwords on my posts.....I don't know how to date them in the right order on blogger so sorry these are all backwards!
Friday was a ROUGH day. I had to get up really early (3:30am) and pick up my girlfriend at 4:30am so we could drive to Redwood City to the hospital and get there by 5am. My friend was scheduled for surgery at 7:15am. We get there and the hospital does NOT have her on the schedule.... I felt so sorry for her because she was actually looking forward to this day (it was an elective surgery) and had finally worked up the courage to do this and fasted since the day before and they don't have her scheduled. They call the doctor, they try and figure out what's going on and turns out the hospital screwed up on something. They were able to work her surgery in but not til 1pm...which means she still can't eat and at this point is totally starving. They start her on an IV to at least keep her hydrated and the nurse she had was so nice and funny. She was telling her to just picture the IV bag as a nice big juicy steak. Well we were sitting and talking and next thing you know the nurse shows up with a picture of a steak with potatoes and she tapes it to the iv bag...I thought that was so cute and so nice..it helped put a smile on my friend's face and make her laugh which was good cause her nerves were starting to get to her.....
I won't post the pic of her with the IV bag as she would just kill me for posting her pic without makeup! But I did take a closeup of the IV bag.... =0)
After her mom met up with me at the hospital around 12, I was able to leave to go to my son's school and pick him up (the bus arrived back from Science Camp at 12:30pm)...I just barely made it back and missed the bus arriving with the kids...kinda bummed cause I wanted a shot of him by the bus but oh well! I was just so glad to have him back!
Well we went home, unloaded the car and it was time to get ready for a baseball game. I had to run to the doctor's to do some bloodwork, and then it was off to the baseball game. It was the LONGEST GAME EV-ER!!!! THe first inning was 45 minutes long!!! We scored 4 points at the top of the 1st inning and the other team scored 10 runs at the bottom of the first inning (which is crazy because the team is not that good)...It was a long game, it ended 23-10 (we won) and then the coaches wanted to take the kids out for pizza. Usually we go but I was just exhausted...so I picked up some Hoagy Steak sandwiches, ran by HOllywood video to pick up a few movies for the weekend and went home. It was a very long day!!!!

A Girl's Day Out!!!
Last Thursday my mom and I drove to Los Gatos to visit my friend Peggy who lives up in the Los Gatos Mountains.
I love going to visit Peggy, her house sits on 2 acres, her backyard is just gorgeous, so relaxing. It doesn't take long to drive there maybe 30 minutes but once you get there you feel like you are a million miles away!
We had a nice lunch at Cafe Sparrow,
then we went to this cute little Nursery place called Wisteria in Aptos. They had the most beautiful flowers and plants and garden decor EVER!!!!
As you can see, I found quite a few things to purchase! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new flower pot with the flat marbles! I think I will put this on my little wrought iron table on my front porch..so cute!!!!
Here is a pic of me and my mom at Wisteria:
After we left there we went to a cute little bakery called Gayle's Bakery. Everything looked so yummy it was really hard to choose!
Then we drove to Capitola. We were going to go to Santa Cruz but the traffic was HORRIBLE! So we went to Capitola and walked around for a bit.

My day today - Tuesday
Trying to keep busy so the week will go by quick and the kiddo will be home already!
Met my girlfriend for lunch at my favorite mexican restaurant.
Got to talking about Scrapbooking and convinced my friend that she had
to go to my other friend's scrapbook store and buy some wedding scrap supplies so she can start scrappin all her wedding photos.
Bought a few things for myself (nothing like new scrap supplies to get the creative juices flowing) - now if I can just sit down and scrap that will be the challenge!
Then I left and went to Michaels', bought the AMY BUTLER 12x12 paper pack and some matching embellishments and stickers. Bought their new paper stacks that are scallopped and ric-rack edges LOVE having a whole pack of it instead of buying them by the sheet, so convenient!!!
Bought a new CRICUT cartridge....M's is having all their cartridges on sale from 89.99 to 59.99 (GREAT DEAL!!!) I bought Opposites Attract. I've been wanting it for a while.
And couldn't leave M's without buying 3 packs of FUN DIP....interesting, whacky fact about me.....I only eat the Lik-a-stiks. I don't like the Fun Dip....I know, I'm a weirdo! ha ha!!!! I wish they sold lik a stiks in packs by themselves...I would be in HEAVEN!!!

Date Night on a Tuesday Night
Missin My Baby!!!
My baby is gone for camp this whole week!!! We dropped him off at school on Monday and won't get to talk to him or see him til friday!!!! I'm going NUTSO!!!! I've never been without contact with him. I know this will be a good experience and he'll learn a lot from this but I miss him like CRRRRRRRAZY!!!
Here is the picture I took of him before he left
Every day (I'm only on day 2) I look at the clock to see what time it is, and then I check the camp's itinerary to see what he's doing now...I know I'm whacko! ha ha! I can't wait til he's home and I can hear all about his trip and can't wait to develop all the pictures. I bought him 2 disposable regular cameras and one underwater disposable camera (there's a pool there). I mailed him a letter to arrive while he's at camp, his grandma wrote him and I snuck a letter in his suitcase so he would find it his first night at camp.

Something cool they had at the science fair last night...
A local Farmers Insurance Company was at our school handing out information and doing free Child Identification Kits (fingerprinting, pictures, etc.) for all of the kids at our school. They are working together with the NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) and m.i.l.k. a company who developed a Home Organizer Software program that prepares parents and caregivers in the event that their child might someday be missing. They took the pictures and did the fingerprinting and then in a week will hand deliver the software program to each family so that you can load it onto your computer, it will automatically remind you ever 6 months to update your childs information (current picture, Height, Weight, Identifiable Marks, glasses, braces, pierced ears, etc.)
You can go on their website and purchase this software here:
http://www.home-organizer.com/kids_manual.asp
hopefully we will never ever need something like this but it's always good to be prepared.
It's an A!!!!!!
Went to the Science Fair and School Open House last night...
He got an A!!!!! It's amazing thought all that work that goes into these kids projects and then they take them to school for 1 day, get their grade and bring them home that night. Now what do I do with this big old thing??? I think I will have to scrapbook some pics from this next week and then I can dispose of the big project board....

Went to the hardware supply and bought some new flowers and plants for my front yard and back patio....pulled weeds, planted everything!!
Got some paperwork done for our business, helped my son finish his science project board, made dinner, did some laundry and now it's time for bed.....
Good Night!

I am no longer needed for Jury Duty!!!!!!!! I was really worried about getting my son to/from school and practice / games each day as well as all the time it would take away from getting all the other things I need to get done this week.... I guess everything works out in the end and sometimes it's not good to stress about things so much.....

Look what I made!!!!!
Pics from this morning....
Happy Mother's Day!!!!!
Here are the gifts I made my sister and my mom for Mother's Day....
My friend found this idea on another blog and made some really cute shirts so I decided that this would be a great gift for Mother's Day this year...
This was my first time sewing anything fabric (I own a nice sewing machine but only bought it to sew cute zig zag stitches on my scrapbook layouts) - the first shirt (black one) didn't turn out so good...The iron on stuff didn't stick right so I had a hard time with it. The white one turned out a little bit better but I think I still need to work on it.

STRESS!!!!
Hopefully the upcoming week will not be too stressful....
I have to call in for jury duty Sunday night. I'm hoping my number doesn't get called. Or if it does that it only goes for this week. Next week is Science Camp for my DS and I don't want to miss out on dropping him off at school and saying goodbye and all. I still need to get some things my DS will need for camp and pack everything. I'm going to have a rough time being away from him he's never been away and not able to phone home before. One whole week of no contact. I know it's a good experience for him, but it's going to feel so weird to me. I'm gonna miss him so much! Maybe if I had gone to camp in 6th grade when I was younger, I would know what all to expect for him and wouldn't worry so much....I'm sure it will be fine.
I'm stressed about Jury Duty - never done it before. Any suggestions of what to expect? It's going to be interesting figuring out if I serve each day, and how to get my son to/from school, to baseball practices and games. I know it will all get figured out but since it isn't right now, it's stressing me out.
I still need a baby shower gift for my brother's fiance's shower next weekend....
Plus I need to get ready for our r/c boat race the same weekend which means packing up the R/V and a baseball game the same weekend. I always stress out when I have several activities in one day / weekend.
This month is going by so fast....before I know it may will be over with, June will start and then school is out and my baby will no longer be in elementary school. Next school year he'll be in Jr. High...SO SCARY!!!!
See I stress about a lot of things....juggling my responsibilities, money, stuff for our businesses, my son growing up so fast, not getting pregnant, getting pregnant and it not working out over and over again....hopefully I can get this stress under control. (I'm definitely not going to have a successful pregnancy when my stress level is this high)....
Well maybe since I've gotten some of this off my chest I can get some sleep...it's Mother's Day, 3:47am and I've been up since 2:00am (partly from stress that keeps me awake and partly from this darn cold or allergies or whatever it is I have)....
Good night! I mean Morning!
Off to bed now!

My Week in Review.....
Sunday - recover from throwing baby shower the day before....sleep in! Go to SKATE PARK with my son and 4 of his friends...relax in the sun.
Monday - paperwork for our business - Bor-Ring!!!!
Tuesday - Took my son to get his tetanus booster shot.Watch my son's baseball game - they won!!! Downside of this game, watching my son's coach catch a bat with his eye... one of our boys threw the bat towards the coach and he wasn't watching and turned around and got hit in the eye with the bat.. Had the WORST black eye I've ever seen, a bump the size of a golf ball on the side of his eye, needed 3 stitches and got a concussion....
Wednesday - more paperwork, ran some errands, got a call from my DS school that he's running a fever and to come pick him up. I think it's a reaction to the tetanus shot the day before. =(
Thursday - baseball practice - start feeling like I'm coming down with a cold...Just great, just in time for Mother's Day - I always seem to be sick during holidays!!!
Friday - take it easy, relax, ended the night with a good movie that was on t.v. - DADDY DAY CARE - I love that movie! "Put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up" - are you picture the hand movements?? =0)
Saturday - baseball game this morning, came home after and started working on my son's Science Fair Project - "The Gum Flavor Experiment" - how long does each different kind of gum's flavor last? Spent majority of the afternoon watching my son chew gum and timing it...sound like fun?
Typed up my son's notes for his project board while him and my husband went shopping for mother's day.
Ended up with a migraine, I hope it's gone by Mother's day - we have to be up early and at brunch in Pleasanton at 10am....
To all my friends and family who read this...have a wonderful mother's day!!!!
Enjoy your day with your loved ones!

Ended up with a migraine, I hope it's gone by Mother's day - we have to be up early and at brunch in Pleasanton at 10am....
To all my friends and family who read this...have a wonderful mother's day!!!!
Enjoy your day with your loved ones!
New (to me) Scrapbooking Tool!!!
I didn't think I really needed ANOTHER dymo labeler...I have so many already...but this one is SPECIAL...it does CURSIVE!!!!!
It's a vintage dymo labeler that has 3 different font wheels, 2 are block lettering in capital letters one small and one larger size, and the reason for me buying this, a CURSIVE wheel!!!!! LOVE THIS! I've seen these go for up to 50 bucks on ebay and scored one this past week for 20 bucks plus shipping! So thrilled with this...now if I could find some time to get some scrappin' done and use this cool thingamajig!

Baby Shower was a SUCCESS!!!!!!
So the baby shower I was throwing has finally come and gone. I was a bit dissapointed that my friend didn't have that many guests be able to make it (it was thrown on Cinco de Mayo) but that's okay, it made it that more intimate and the few that did come we all went to high school with so it was like a mini class reunion!
The hostesses Me and T....my friend who we threw the shower for made us cards and got us these cute picture frames so we could put a picture of the three of us in it.... (these are my 3CMG - Three Course Meal Girls - recipe club)....
