Something cool they had at the science fair last night...
A local Farmers Insurance Company was at our school handing out information and doing free Child Identification Kits (fingerprinting, pictures, etc.) for all of the kids at our school. They are working together with the NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) and m.i.l.k. a company who developed a Home Organizer Software program that prepares parents and caregivers in the event that their child might someday be missing. They took the pictures and did the fingerprinting and then in a week will hand deliver the software program to each family so that you can load it onto your computer, it will automatically remind you ever 6 months to update your childs information (current picture, Height, Weight, Identifiable Marks, glasses, braces, pierced ears, etc.)

hopefully we will never ever need something like this but it's always good to be prepared.
